Lemon Chip Sugar Cookies

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 2 cups lemon flavored chips


  • Preheat oven to 350° Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together sugar, brown sugar, butter and
  • lemon extract with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in egg. Add the flour mixture and stir just until combined.
  • Fold in lemon chips. Roll dough into 1 inch balls.
  • Place on prepared baking sheets and gently press down with your fingers.
  • Bake 9 to 11 minutes. Remove from baking sheets and cool on wire racks.
