Oven BBQ Baby Ribs and Kraut

These barbecue ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender.

  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1 16 oz bag sauerkraut
  • 1/3 cup apple juice
  • 1 bottle or can beer
  • 3 pounds baby back pork ribs
  • 1 tablespoon garlic and herb seasoning blend
  1. In a large roasting pan, place sliced onions, whole garlic cloves, kraut, apple juice and beer.
  2. Lay baby back ribs on top of kraut mixture. Sprinkle garlic and herb seasoning over ribs.
  3. Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 325ยบ for 2 1/2 hours.
  4. Remove pan from oven, remove foil. Drain off half of the liquid in the pan.
  5. Pour bottle of barbecue sauce over ribs. Cover tightly with new sheet of foil.
  6. Reduce heat to 275 degrees, put back in oven.
  7. Bake an additional 1 hour and 30 minutes.
