- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup canned diced green chilies
- 2 cloves garlic. minced
- 3 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons creole seasoning
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 12 ounce beer
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Preheat oven to 375
In small saute' pan, heat oil. Saute' onion, green chilies and garlic until tender. Set aside to cool.
Mix together dry ingredients; add beer, stir. Fold in onion mixture.
Pour into a greased 9 x 5 loaf pan.
Pour melted butter over batter in pan.
Bake 1 hour, remove pan from oven and cool for 10 minutes.
Remove bread from pan and cool on wire rack.
