Pecan Pie M & M's Candy Fudge

Ingredients

  • 1 10 oz bag pecan pie flavored m & m's, divided
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 2 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1 12 oz bag milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Using a small food chopper, coarsely grind 1/2 package of m & m's, set aside. Coarsely chop remaining m & m's and set aside. Save 2 tablespoons for garnish.
  • Line 8-inch-square baking pan with foil. Lightly butter.
  • Combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter, salt and allspice in medium, heavy-duty saucepan. Bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil, stirring constantly, for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Stir in marshmallows, chocolate chips, pecans, vanilla extract and ground m & m's. Stir vigorously for 1 minute or until marshmallows are melted. Stir in coarsely chopped m & m's. Pour into prepared baking pan; sprinkle 2 tablespoons coarsely chopped m & m's on top and lightly press into fudge. Refrigerate for several hours or until firm. Lift from pan; remove foil. Cut into 48 pieces.
