Roasted Strawberries

Roasted Strawberries can be spooned over ice cream, shortcake or anything else your little heart desires.

Ingredients
  • 4 to 6 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375° F.

  2. Lightly grease a large rimmed baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. Cut hulled strawberries in half or in quarters, depending on how large the strawberries are.
  4. Transfer to a large bowl and toss with sugar and vanilla extract.
  5. Transfer berries to prepared baking sheet and arrange in an even layer.
  6. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until berries are tender but still have some shape to them.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before using to allow excess juices to be released from the berries.
