Homemade Applesauce

Homemade is so much better than jarred store bought applesauce. It's super, duper easy to make too.

  • 6 to 8 apples, peeled, cored and sliced or cubed
  • 1/2 cup apple cider or apple juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  1. Place all ingredients in a medium saucepan, except cinnamon.
  2. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer and cover.
  3. Simmer apples, 20 minutes or until apples are fork tender.
  4. Remove from heat and mash apples using a potato masher or immersion blender.
  5. Stir in ground cinnamon and serve.
