Ingredients
1packageegg roll wrappersTwin Dragon
vegetable oil
1/2cupsugar
2teaspoonsground cinnamon
1/4 cuppowdered sugar
1/2cuppacked light brown sugar or granulated sugar
1tablespooncornstarch
1/4teaspoonground cinnamon
1cupapple cider or juice
1 tablespoonlemon juice
2tablespoonsbutter
1/4cupchopped hazelnuts
Instructions
Heat oil in large saucepan to 375 degrees. Stir together sugar and ground cinnamon, set aside. Set aside powdered sugar.
Meanwhile make sauce. In medium saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon; stir in apple cider and lemon juice. Cook until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in butter and hazelnuts. Set aside.
Fry whole egg roll wrappers, one at a time, in hot oil. Fry about 1 minute per side or until golden brown, carefully turning over with slotted spoon. Drain on paper towels.
Sprinkle warm fried egg roll wrappers with cinnamon sugar mixture. Drizzle with warm apple cider syrup and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve.
