Bacon Wrapped Cheese Filled Hot Dogs

Ingredients

  • 8 hot dogs, all-beef, bun length
  • 4 ounces block pepper-jack cheese or your favorite cheese
  • 16 slices bacon
  • 2 teaspoons Montreal seasoning, optional
  • 8 hot dog buns, toasted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425ยบ.
  • Slice each hot dog lengthwise down the middle, but not all the way through, and not through the ends. You want to make a pocket.
  • Slice Pepper-Jack cheese from block into small, long rectangles.
  • Fill the pocket with cheese.
  • Wrap the hot dog with two slices bacon.
  • Secure bacon with toothpicks if necessary. Place wrapped hot dogs on a broiler pan or on a rack set over a baking sheet with sides. Sprinkle with seasoning if using.
  • Bake 25-35 minutes or until cheese is melted, bacon is crisp and hot dogs are hot.
  • Serve dogs on toasted buns with ketchup, mustard or BBQ sauce.
