Overnight Maple French Toast Bake
Overnight Maple French Toast Bake is made the night before as the name suggests, which makes it ideal to serve for breakfast when you have overnight guests. I have made this many, many times and everyone enjoys waking up to the smell of cinnamonny Overnight French Toast Bake baking in the oven. So many delicious breakfast dishes can be made the night before, giving you the chance to shower and get ready while the coffee is brewing. Everyone will think you’ve been up since the wee hours of the morning!
Crock Pot Oatmeal
Besides overnight Maple French Toast Bake, we like any of the recipes here on Turnips 2 Tangerines for slow cooker oatmeal. Don’t waste time in the morning cooking over a hot stove while your guests are sitting at the table waiting to eat. Prepare breakfast the night before and enjoy your morning coffee chatting with friends or family while it bakes. Another thing most overnight guests and family appreciate for breakfast is a pan of cinnamon rolls. They’re certainly my favorite, that’s for sure.

If you can’t find apple fritter bread in your area, you can substitute raisin bread, preferably the kind without the layer of white icing. Cherry Date Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls are also delicious served up or give these delicious muffins a try Bran Muffins with a Crunchy Top

- Cinnamon Rolls
- Scones with Homemade Jam or Jelly
You won’t have any trouble waking up the sleepy heads in your family with this line-up!

Overnight Maple French Toast Bake
Ingredients
- 1 loaf apple fritter bread, cubed
- 1 loaf french bread, cubed
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
- 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 cup warm heavy whipping cream, 70 to 80 degrees
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 8 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground apple pie spice or cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Equipment
- 13 x 9-inch baking dish
Instructions
- Place cubed bread in a greased 2-qt. baking dish; press down gently. Sprinkle with raisins.
- In a small bowl; beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually beat in whipping cream, maple syrup and mix well. Whisk together the eggs, vanilla, apple pie spice or cinnamon and salt. Add to cream cheese mixture, blend well.
- Pour cream cheese mixture evenly over bread; lightly press bread into egg mixture with a spatula. Cover; refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
- Remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.
- Cover and bake at 375° for 25 minutes
- Uncover; bake 20 to 25 minutes longer or until center is set and the top is golden brown and puffy. Serve with warm maple syrup.

Stumbled upon this tempting toast with apple fritter bread and oh! I just adore the combo of ingredients for a beautiful toast. Need to see if I can find the ingredients esp the fritter bread or maybe I will consider other types.

Hi Nat! Apple Fritter Bread is so good, we love it toasted with apple butter:) I have also used Pumpkin Cobbler Bread for this recipe, with great results. I made it around Thanksgiving for my kids when they were in town and they loved it! Thanks for stopping~ Lynn

K. I'm not sure of a place that sells apple fritter bread around here (maybe the Amish store?). Anyway, I found a recipe online for it j.i.c., because your recipe is going to be our Sunday breakfast this week! :O)
