Hot Mustard Honey Dip

Hi Everyone! Welcome back to Turnips 2 Tangerines and Welcome back to The Wisconsin Series. What is the Wisconsin Series? The Wisconsin Series is a month long series dedicated to all things but mainly foods that are made and/or are produced here in Wisconsin. Today I’ll be sharing a video on how to make Hot Mustard Honey Dip using Martha’s Hot Mustard.

Hot Mustard by Martha

“It’s very addictive,” said Martha McLean, creator of Martha’s hot mustard. She can’t think of anything it isn’t good on! McLean describes the mustard as sweet and spicy. On average, she makes about two batches of mustard each week, and each batch consists of 150 containers. McLean created the mustard about 28 years ago, and it is based in Lancaster Wisconsin.

“We do it all by hand,” McLean said. “The labeling, the bottling, everything is by hand. The only machine we use is a blender. McLean recommends pairing her mustard with cheese, crackers, meat and seafood, macaroni and cheese. She also recommends using it in marinades and salad dressings. Some of her favorite pairings with the mustard are Swiss cheese and brats.
