Deep Fried Dill Pickle Spears
Deep Fried Dill Pickle Spears
with Onion Dip
Today’s recipes are probably two of my favorites. Deep Fried Dill Pickle Spears with Onion Dip is sensational. When my daughter was pregnant a few years ago she asked me if I would make her some deep-fried dill pickle chips. She had first tasted deep-fried dill pickles when she lived in Georgia. Having never tried this new to me appetizer, I said, “Sure!”
Pickles
I had both dill pickle chips and dill pickle spears so I decided to make them both. I really liked them both but preferred the deep-fried spears and my daughter also liked them both but preferred the chips. If you have read my blog over the years you’re well aware that I’m not a huge fan of pickles but for some reason I absolutely love deep fried pickles. I decided to serve the chips and spears with onion dip. Today’s onion dip is made with Cugino’s Onion Wonion Dipz Mix.
Cugino’s Wonion Dipz Mix
We love Wonion Dipz on anything and everything but our favorite is with Deep-Fried Dill Pickle Spears. This dip has a nice onion flavor that doesn’t overpower the delicate dill pickle. This onion dip is also great on baked potatoes, used as a chip/pretzel dip or with fresh vegetables. The batter coating the spears is a simple one but can substitute your favorite beer-batter as well.
