Candied Bacon Lil’ Smokies have everything you want in an appetizer. These sweet, smoky, spicy and slightly salty snacks are great to serve for your next football party. They go extremely well with drinks, making them the perfect appetizer to serve on game day or during the holidays. Heck, these candied lil’ smokies are great to serve any time of the year. Lil’ smokies are also great made in the slow cooker. Toss them in a slow cooker and top with your favorite barbecue sauce.

Everything is Better with Bacon

Our motto here at Turnips 2 Tangerines is a simple one;  “Everything is Better with Bacon.” Wrap some bacon around lil’ smokies, sprinkle with a brown sugar and chili powder mixture and you have candied bacon lil’ smokies. Now if you want to step things up, serve lil’ smokies with your favorite barbecue sauce or my favorite, “real” maple syrup.
