Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Bars
If your looking for a fast, easy and delicious sweet treat to bring to your Memorial Day festivities….you have come to the right spot. This recipe is exactly what your looking for. Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Bars are made with only five ingredients….four if you omit the coconut. Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Bars can be made with your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe or to save time use refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
This recipe is made with a roll of refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough, cream cheese, sugar, one egg and coconut (which is optional). Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Bars can be ready in under 45 minutes. From start to finish, total time is under one hour, making these bars delicious and super easy. In this recipe the coconut is optional but I think it adds a nice and unexpected somethin’ somethin’.
Double the Recipe
This recipe makes a 9-inch square baking pan but you can easily double the recipe to make a 13 x 9-inch pan, that way you’ll have enough for everyone. Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Bars will disappear fast, so you might want to double the recipe! For best results, keep bars refrigerated until ready to serve. Allow about 30 minutes to let the bars come to room temperature.
