Whichever name ‘Spanish Hamburgers’ goes by….
these sandwiches are always a hit….
We have served Spanish hamburgers at every possible function.
Instead of eating my Spanish hamburger on a bun,
I like to eat my Spanish hamburger served in a bowl and
scooped out with potato chips.
2 1/2 pounds
green pepper, chopped
1 (12 oz) bottle
- 12 ounces water
salt and pepper to taste
- Brown ground beef, onion, green pepper, garlic and celery in a skillet over medium heat until beef is no longer pink inside and the vegetables are tender. Drain.
- Add ketchup, mustard, chili sauce, water, chili powder, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 15 to 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
- Serve on buttered rolls/buns or serve with potato chips.
