  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons chili paste (such as: Sambal Oelek ground fresh chili paste)
  • 2 tablespoons beef broth or water
  • 2 pounds flank steak or top sirloin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon each garlic powder and onion powder
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 (16 oz) package stir-fry vegetables (broccoli, green beans, carrots, celery, onions, red pepper, water chestnuts, bean sprouts, mushrooms, snow peas, sugar snap peas)
  • 1 (8 oz) package vermicelli noodles
  • 8 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Cooking Directions
  1. Whisk together first 5 ingredients. Set aside.
  2. Cut beef diagonally across the grain into thin slices; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat; add half the beef and saute 5 minutes. Remove from skillet. Repeat with remaining oil and beef.
  4. To skillet, add package of stir fry vegetables; saute 5 minutes. Return beef to skillet and add sesame sauce mixture; cook until thoroughly heated through.
  5. Bring 8 cups water to a boil. Add the noodles and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes. Strain. For a more al dente texture rinse under cold water and then strain. Spoon beef mixture over noodles, sprinkle with sesame seeds.
